Charity Dinner

Shanta Bhandari, the president of Lovelight Society, was a guest speaker at a charity dinner in Singapore, which was organized by LLWSC. He shared about the progress of the building project of the children's home, the work of Lovelight Society as well as the challenges it is facing.

Three Girls in National Dance Competition

Remember the three girls who were selected in the first round of the national dance competition? The youngest one among her competitors was picked as the top 30 contestants! She was selected with much appreciation by the judges and audiences. She will continue to take part in future competitions. This program will be broadcasted on TV in near future.

Staff Outing

Working with children can be very tough sometimes. To refresh ourselves from the stress of work and the busy schedule, our staff went outing. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our time together.

Three children rescued from slum

The president of the children home and his wife visited a poor family who live in the slum area near the border of Nepal. In freezing cold weather, none of the five children were properly clothed. The father, who used to be the only source of income, has to lie in bed most of the time because of his intestine ulcer. Besides, the mother is physically disabled and all five children had pneumonia in the past. Their lives were at risk due to the severe cold weather, inadequate care and food. With the government's permission and after some documentation process, we received three of the children from this family to our children's home. Now they are living healthily and happily in this new home.

There are many more waiting for someone to save them. Help us to expand the children's home to bring more children back to where they belong - in a loving family.
