Words of the President - Shanta Bhandari
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your support and continuous help for the children’s home in Nepal. With all of your support, we are doing well and more than 30 children are celebrating the fullness of life in this home. Your efforts have not only brought smile on their faces but given them hope for a better future. Many more children in Nepal are still waiting for our help; they also want to have hope in their lives. Let’s continue to join hands and bring hope in many more children’s hearts.
Being the president of Lovelight Society and parent of the children’s home is quite a challenging job. There are so many struggles and difficulties, but when I look at the children, who are free and secured, I am really encouraged again and again. I know I am not working merely by my own strength but God’s love motivates me. Our efforts truly brighten the children’s future. I feel very successful when I see smile on their faces.
The organization was formed in June 2006 with the vision of “providing home for homeless children of Nepal.” Later in November 2006, it was officially registered with the Nepalese government as a non-governmental organization. We are also affiliated with other children concern authorities such as Central Child Welfare Board and District Child Welfare Council and other child focused organizations to seek benefits for the less fortunate children.
